Safespill is excited to announce the official launch of its new subsidiary, Affordable Aluminum.
The extrusion capabilities now available through our Houston-based operation include our 2,700-ton press, 19 million lbs of available capacity, and support for custom shapes in 6005-A and 6063 alloys.
This extrusion line was originally installed to support ILDFA’s manufacturing process. With excess capacity now available, we’re extending that same high-quality output to new partners across the region.
Why Affordable Aluminum?
Safespill developed ILDFA, a fire protection system for aircraft hangars that uses custom aluminum components. To support long-term production and reduce supply chain risk, Safespill invested in its own aluminum extrusion line, manufactured by Kautec and installed in 2025. While this line secures critical capacity for core manufacturing, it also creates a unique opportunity: the system’s aluminum needs occupy only a portion of the line’s full capacity, leaving significant excess available.
Affordable Aluminum was created to utilize that capacity, offering aluminum extrusions at below market pricing. Because extrusion is not our core business, we provide the same standards at a lower cost.
