Improved ILDFA Top Surface

Safespill floors a.k.a ILDFA have a top surface designed to ensure instant drainage of any spilled liquid into the floor. This is critical for fire protection performance.

However, ensuring that the men and women working on the floor have a good work experience is equally important to us.

Recently we made a major improvement to the floor’s top surface. Instead of ribs spaced at 2 inches or 50 millimeter intervals, the floor now has omnidirectional grooves.

These grooves are machined with a fly cutter and cut deep enough to ensure they don’t wear off over the 50 year lifespan of ILDFA.

This feature ensures that drainage is instant, anti-slip coefficient is excellent and typical wheeled hangar equipment carts have a smoother surface to roll over.
