Flushing Manifold Upgrade: Scale Buildup Prevention
In certain regions, scale build up over a 50 year period might require inspection and clean out of the Flushing Manifold (FM). Accessing the internal geometry of the FM is simplified with the addition of a lid. The bolts for the FM lid are placed underneath the trench lid, keeping them protected from aircraft or foot traffic. In addition, we have implemented machined radius spray holes to reduce the likelihood of scale buildup. These improvements will assist in averting scale issues.
